Soy Sauce or Worcestershire Sauce Substitute

This recipe is easy to make and provides a great sodium-free substitute for soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce. (If you prefer a more traditional taste, you can use this sauce to dilute traditional soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce to lower its sodium.)

Soy Sauce or Worcestershire Substitute
Serves: 32
 
Ingredients
  • ½ Cup Sodium-Free Beef Bouillon OR Chicken Bouillon OR Vegetable broth
  • ¼ cup Red Wine Vinegar (or substitute reg. vinegar)
  • 1½ Tbsp Molasses
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • 3 Cups Water
Instructions
  1. In a sauce pan, combine all ingredients and boil gently uncovered about 15 minutes or till mixture is reduced (thickens).
  2. Store in refrigerator for 2 weeks (stir before using), or freeze for up to 3 months
