{"id":515,"date":"2014-01-31T21:06:15","date_gmt":"2014-02-01T02:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/waltonspot.com\/lowsodium\/?page_id=515"},"modified":"2014-02-10T20:46:26","modified_gmt":"2014-02-11T01:46:26","slug":"beef-goulash","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/waltonspot.com\/lowsodium\/recipes\/beef\/beef-goulash\/","title":{"rendered":"Beef Goulash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This low-sodium casserole is our version of the classic hamburger goulash recipe.<\/p>\n<div class=\"easyrecipe\">\n<div class=\"item ERName\">Beef Goulash<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERClear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\">Serves: <span class=\"yield\">8.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERIngredientsHeader\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 cups rotini, or other pasta<\/li>\n<li class=\"ERSeparator\">Meat mixture ingredients:<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 Tbsp olive oil (needed only if you use very lean ground beef)<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 lb very lean ground beef<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup onions, chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 lb mushrooms, sliced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup bell pepper, chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 stalks of celery<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 tsp Mrs Dash Steak Grilling seasoning<\/li>\n<li class=\"ERSeparator\">Sauce ingredients:<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 can no-salt-added tomato sauce<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup no-salt ketchup<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup water.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bd tsp oregano<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bd tsp black pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">\u00bd tsp basil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tsp sugar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook pasta as directed on the package, al-dente but omit the salt. Drain and rinse.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">While pasta is cooking, cook the meat mixture:<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Heat a large skillet to medium high. If you are using very lean ground beef, add 1 Tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil. Add crumbled ground beef, mushrooms, onions, pepper, celery, garlic, and Mrs. Dash Steak Grilling seasoning.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Cook until the beef is lightly browned and not pink in the center.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add remaining ingredients except for the pasta. Stir well, cover, and simmer gently for 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Stir cooked, drained, and rinsed pasta into the meat mixture.
