{"id":2518,"date":"2016-02-14T00:45:14","date_gmt":"2016-02-14T05:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/waltonspot.com\/lowsodium\/?page_id=2518"},"modified":"2016-02-14T00:55:35","modified_gmt":"2016-02-14T05:55:35","slug":"chili-mac-and-tomatoes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/waltonspot.com\/lowsodium\/recipes\/beef\/chili-mac-and-tomatoes\/","title":{"rendered":"Chili Mac"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a very easy 1-pot chili mac casserole<\/p>\n<div class=\"easyrecipe\" data-rating=\"0\">\n<div class=\"item ERName\">Chili Mac<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERClear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\">Serves: <span class=\"yield\">8<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERIngredientsHeader\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 onion, diced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">4 cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 lb very lean ground beef, ground chicken, or ground turkey<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 cup low sodium tomato paste<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 can no-salt-added diced tomatoes<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup no-salt beef broth<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tsp oregano<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 Tbsp chili powder<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 tsp Mrs Dash Steak Grilling Seasoning blend.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup uncooked macaroni.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Heat a large heavy sauce pan to medium and add the olive oil. Saute the onions until tender. Add the garlic and saut\u00e9 for 30 seconds.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the ground beef, stir to break it into small pieces, and cook until the beef is browned and completely cooked through. Drain.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, chili powder, and Mrs Dash Steak Grilling Seasoning. Stir until well mixed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the macaroni and mix well. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and cover.
