{"id":1882,"date":"2014-12-09T19:37:57","date_gmt":"2014-12-10T00:37:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/waltonspot.com\/lowsodium\/?page_id=1882"},"modified":"2014-12-09T19:45:25","modified_gmt":"2014-12-10T00:45:25","slug":"mediterranean-fish-stew","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/waltonspot.com\/lowsodium\/recipes\/seafood\/mediterranean-fish-stew\/","title":{"rendered":"Mediterranean Fish Stew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe was adapted from http:\/\/www.myrecipes.com\/recipe\/mediterranean-fish-stew<\/p>\n<div class=\"easyrecipe\" data-rating=\"#rating#\">\n<div class=\"item ERName\">Mediterranean Fish Stew<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERClear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\">Serves: <span class=\"yield\">12<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERIngredientsHeader\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 Tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 cup onion, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 cups cut green beans<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/3 cup carrots, thinly sliced carrot<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">28 oz no-sodium chicken broth (OR no-sodium turkey broth)<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 (15-ounce) can low-sodium cannelloni beans or other white beans, rinsed and drained<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 (14.5-ounce) can no-salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup uncooked medium seashell pasta<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 Tbsp finely chopped fresh basil OR 2 tsp dried basil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tsp finely chopped fresh oregano OR 1\/4 tsp dried oregano.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tablespoons no-salt-added tomato paste<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">3\/4 pound skinless halibut or cod fillets, cut into 1-inch pieces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Optional: If you prefer that your green beans and carrots are completely cooked, combine the green beans with 2 Tbsp water and microwave on high for 3 minutes. Stir in the carrots and microwave on high for 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In a large pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and saut\u00e9 5 minutes or until the onion is tender. Add green beans, carrots, broth, beans, and tomatoes. Bring to a boil.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add pasta. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 12 minutes or until pasta is tender.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Stir in basil, oregano, tomato paste, and black pepper. Gently stir in fish.
