Thus, while it has less sodium and fat than similar recipes, it is NOT a low-sodium dish. If you use this recipe, you should serve it with no-salt-added side dishes and make sure that your sodium consumption is very low in other meals that you eat that day.<\/p>\n<div class=\"easyrecipe\" data-rating=\"#rating#\">\n<div class=\"item ERName\">Shrimp and Garlic Pasta<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERClear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\">Serves: <span class=\"yield\">4<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERIngredientsHeader\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\">6 ounces linguine or spaghetti or angel hair pasta, uncooked<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4 tsp garlic powder<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 Tbsp unsalted butter<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">12 oz shrimp &#8212; cleaned and de-veined<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 Tbsp cup olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 Tbsp dry white wine<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">4 cloves garlic, finely minced<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">dash of ground pepper<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 tsp Italian Seasoning<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">dash of no sodium soy sauce substitute (see recipe) OR low sodium Worcestershire<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 1\/4 cup skim milk<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 Tbsp corn starch (to thicken the milk since we aren\u2019t using cream.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the pasta, garlic powder, and butter to boiling water, and cook until the pasta is almost (but not quite) al dente. Drain and set aside.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Mix the cornstarch with the skim milk and stir until completely dissolved. In a large saucepan, combine the milk\/cornstarch mixture, olive oil, wine, garlic, pepper, Italian Seasoning, and soy sauce substitute (or Worcestershire sauce.) Stir until completely blended.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the shrimp, stir and add the pasta. Cook, stirring gently, over medium high heat until shrimp is done and pasta is perfectly done.<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Stir in parsley flakes before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERNutrition\">Serving size: <span class=\"servingSize\">1\/2 cup.<\/span> Sodium: <span class=\"sodium\">284 mg.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"endeasyrecipe\" style=\"display: none;\">3.2.1310<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Note that sodium percentages depend on which daily reference you use.
