My mother made it when I was a child.<\/p>\n<div class=\"easyrecipe\">\n<div class=\"item ERName\">Crispy Date Nut Confection<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERClear\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERHead\">Serves: <span class=\"yield\">30.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"ERIngredients\">\n<div class=\"ERIngredientsHeader\">Ingredients<\/div>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 stick unsalted butter<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 eggs, beaten<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup dates (dried, no pit, chopped)<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup white sugar<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 cup pecans<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 1\/2 cup Rice Krispies or similar cereal<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">6 oz sweetened flaked coconut<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ERInstructions\">\n<div class=\"ERInstructionsHeader\">Instructions<\/div>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"instruction\">In a large heavy saucepan, melt the butter<\/li>\n<li class=\"instruction\">Add the eggs, dates, sugar, and nuts.
