Honey Candied Nuts
 
Ingredients
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 3 cups pecan halves or walnut halves
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Cover a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix sugar, water, cumin, and honey in a small saucepan. Bring to a full boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Place nuts in a large bowl, pour the syrup over the nuts, and stir well for about 1 minute to make sure that every nut is well coated with the syrup. Then let the nuts rest in the syrup for 2-3 minutes, stirring every minute.
  3. Spread the nuts on the lined baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes, stirring every 4-5 minutes, until the nuts are light gold and shiny. (The nuts will be slightly sticky at this point.)
  4. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. When cool, store in an airtight container.
