Asian Meatballs with Sweet Green Chili
- 1 pound lean ground beef, chicken, or turkey
- 1 Tbsp minced onion (or ¼ cup fresh onion, finely chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp 5 Spice
- 1 Tbsp fresh chopped cilantro OR 1½ tsp dried chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp Mrs Dash Steak Grilling Seasoning mix
- 2 Tbsp No Sodium Soy Sauce substitute (see recipe)
- 1 cup panko
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup no sodium sweet green chili sauce (see recipe)
- Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with foil
- In a large bowl, mix together the beef, onion, garlic, ginger, cilantro, Mrs Dash, soy sauce substitute, Panko, and egg. Roll the mixture into roughly 1 inch meatballs and place on the baking sheet. Bake 40-50 minutes, or until the meatballs are brown and cooked completely.
- Heat the sweet chili sauce to boiling. Add meatballs and gently stir until completely coated with the sauce.
