Shrimp Pasta Primavera with Marinara Sauce
- 8 oz Angel hair spaghetti
- Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning.
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped into chunks
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 8 oz whole mushrooms, halved (or cut into fourths if the mushroom is very large)
- 12 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups low-sodium marinara sauce or other tomato-based sauce (see recipe)
- (optional) Parmesan cheese.
- Cook spaghetti al dente, according to package directions, replacing the salt with Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb seasoning. Drain, toss with 1 tsp olive oil, and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, heat the low-sodium sauce until just boiling. Then reduce heat, add onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and shrimp and simmer 4-5 minutes, until shrimp is cooked.
- Serve sauce over the pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
