Sweet and Sour Sauce
Serves: 6
 
Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup no-salt tomato ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp plum jam or orange marmalade
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese rice vinegar (transparent in color)
  • 1½ teaspoon no sodium Worcestershire Sauce substitute
  • (optional) 1 Tbsp Chinese Oyster Sauce (see recipe) -- note: this will add some sodium to the recipe.
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • ⅓ cup water
Instructions
  1. Mix the ingredients well in a small sauce pan. Heat to boiling and simmer 1 minute.
