No salt Breakfast Sausage 1
- 1 lb ground beef, pork, or turkey
- 1 lb ground beef, pork, or turkey
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp rubbed sage OR 1 tsp ground sage
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- ¼ cup cold water
- In a small bowl mix together all of the ingredients except the ground meat. Sprinkle the seasoning mix on the ground meat and mix well. Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight before cooking.
- To freeze: make into patties, separate each patty with plastic wrap or freezer paper, and freeze in a freezer bag.
- To cook: Form the sausage into thin patties or break into chunks. Cook in a medium-high skillet until cooked through with no pink remaining.
