Roasted Sweet and Spicy Nuts
 
Ingredients
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ to 1 tsp dried red-pepper flakes
  • 2 to 3 cups mixed raw nuts.
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and coat it with cooking spray.
  3. Whisk the egg white until very foamy. Add the sugar, cumin, and red pepper and whisk well.
  4. Stir in the nuts and coat well.
  5. Spread the nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake until the nuts are a deep golden brown, about 25-30 minutes, stirring often.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool, breaking up any clumps.
  7. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
