This recipe for green beans with mushrooms is a delicious way to add more vegetables to your diet with adding sodium.
- 1½ Tbsp olive oil
- 4 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 8 oz green beans, trimmed and broken/cut to desired length
- 2 Tbsp water, divided
- ⅛ tsp Mrs Dash Garlic Herb Seasoning blend
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp red wine vinegar
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil, stirring to coat the bottom of the skillet with the oil. Stir in the mushrooms and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the green beans to the pan and 1 tablespoon of the water to the skillet. Cover and cook 2 minutes. Uncover and stir in the Mrs Dash Garlic Herb Seasoning. Add the garlic on top of the vegetables and then sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of water over the vegetables. Cover and cook for 2-6 minutes more or until the beans are tender enough for your taste.
- Uncover the vegetables, stir, and cook for another minute. Stir in the red wine vinegar. Serve.
