Sweet Spicy Stir Fry Sauce

This is a very flavorful no-sodium stir-fry sauce.

This recipe uses the No Sodium Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry Sauce recipe and the No Sodium Soy Sauce or Worcestershire Sauce Substitute recipe

Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry Sauce
Serves: 4
 
Ingredients
  • ¾ cup no-sodium vegetable broth OR chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp No-Sodium Soy Sauce substitute (see recipe)
  • 3 Tbsp white vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 6 Tbsp No-Sodium Sweet Chili Sauce (see recipe)
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir until the cornstarch and sugar are dissolved. Heat to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  2. To use: Cook the sauce while you stir-fry vegetables and/or meat. After the vegetables and optional meat is cooked, gently stir in the sauce. Let it sit for 1 minute for the flavors to blend. Serve over rice.
