- 1½ cups (2 8-oz cans) no salt-added tomato sauce
- ⅔ cup dark brown sugar, packed
- ¼ cup cider vinegar
- 1½ Tbsp molasses
- 1 Tbsp no-sodium Worcestershire sauce substitute
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp ground red pepper
- 1 tsp Liquid Smoke or other barbecue smoked seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp celery seeds
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
- Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer. Cook on very low heat 12 minutes, stirring frequently
