Easy to make lower sodium seafood stock that uses discarded shrimp shells
Lower Sodium Seafood Stock
Ingredients
- Shells from a pound of shrimp (fresh or frozen)
- 1 medium onion
- ½ cup chopped celery
- ½ cup chopped carrot
- ½ tsp no-salt seafood seasoning blend
- 8 cups water
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a stock pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes or until the liqued is reduced by half. Strain and discard the shrimp shells and vegetables.
