Seafood Stock

Easy to make lower sodium seafood stock that uses discarded shrimp shells

Lower Sodium Seafood Stock
 
Ingredients
  • Shells from a pound of shrimp (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 medium onion
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • ½ cup chopped carrot
  • ½ tsp no-salt seafood seasoning blend
  • 8 cups water
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a stock pot. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes or until the liqued is reduced by half. Strain and discard the shrimp shells and vegetables.
