This very easy salsa recipe provides a flavorful condiment with very low sodium.
Easy Salsa
Ingredients
- ½ cup onions, finely chopped
- ½ cup bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp lime juice OR lemon juice
- 1½ lb ripe plum tomatoes, cored and coarsely chopped, or one 28-ounce can whole or diced no-salt-added tomatoes, drained
- Optional: ⅛ cup -1/4 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves, finely chopped
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients. Cover, and let it sit (in the refrigerator or at room temperature) for an hour or more to let flavors mix before serving.
