Roasted Sweet and Spicy Nuts
Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ½ to 1 tsp dried red-pepper flakes
- 2 to 3 cups mixed raw nuts.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and coat it with cooking spray.
- Whisk the egg white until very foamy. Add the sugar, cumin, and red pepper and whisk well.
- Stir in the nuts and coat well.
- Spread the nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake until the nuts are a deep golden brown, about 25-30 minutes, stirring often.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool, breaking up any clumps.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
