Honey Candied Nuts
Ingredients
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ tsp cumin
- 3 cups pecan halves or walnut halves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Cover a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix sugar, water, cumin, and honey in a small saucepan. Bring to a full boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Place nuts in a large bowl, pour the syrup over the nuts, and stir well for about 1 minute to make sure that every nut is well coated with the syrup. Then let the nuts rest in the syrup for 2-3 minutes, stirring every minute.
- Spread the nuts on the lined baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes, stirring every 4-5 minutes, until the nuts are light gold and shiny. (The nuts will be slightly sticky at this point.)
- Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. When cool, store in an airtight container.
