- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 6 medium, or 3 large, apples, cored and sliced (no need to peel them)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- Melt the butter in a large skillet using medium heat.
- Put apple slices in the skillet and sprinkle them with lemon juice, stirring the apples as you sprinkle.Then sprinkle the apples with brown sugar.
- Cover the skillet and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes until apples are tender and juicy, stirring occasionally.
- After the apples are cooked, sprinkle with the cinnamon and nutmeg and stir gently. Serve warm.
