Fried Apples

Fried Apples
Serves: 6.
 
Ingredients
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 medium, or 3 large, apples, cored and sliced (no need to peel them)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
Instructions
  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet using medium heat.
  2. Put apple slices in the skillet and sprinkle them with lemon juice, stirring the apples as you sprinkle.Then sprinkle the apples with brown sugar.
  3. Cover the skillet and cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes until apples are tender and juicy, stirring occasionally.
  4. After the apples are cooked, sprinkle with the cinnamon and nutmeg and stir gently. Serve warm.
