- 1½ lb ground beef (or ground chicken or turkey if you prefer)
- 1 medium onion, chopped (about ½ cup) OR 1 Tbsp onion powder
- ¾ cup quick cooking oatmeal, uncooked
- 1 tsp Mrs Dash Steak Seasoning mix
- 1 Tbsp low-sodium Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup skim milk
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except the olive oil. Shape by rounded tablespoons into balls.
- In a large skillet, cook the meatballs in the olive oil over medium high heat for about 20 minutes until the meatballs are fully cooked with no pink in the middle.
- Serve with your choice of sauce.
- To use the frozen meatballs without using a slow cooker, let the meatballs thaw completely in the refrigerator. Then place them in a sauce pan with 2-3 cups of your choice of sauce and heat until the meatballs are hot throughout, occasionally stirring very gently.
- To use the frozen meatballs in a slow cooker, pour frozen meatballs into a slow cooker, cover with 2-3 cups of your choice of sauce. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
